WRITING AN ESSAY Memory Clusters   An essay is an organized presentation of your ideas.   It must be organized and presented in a way that the reader finds clear and easy to follow.    Above all, it must consist of your thoughts.   Read the topic carefully and think of your ideas.       Essays need a clear introduction of the topic.   Introductions should answer the topic and should be factual.   The body of the essay can include examples to illustrate your points.   Your ideas must be supported by evidence.       The conclusion should give a summary of your ideas but should not just repeat.     It should not repeat phrases from the introduction.
